I work with clients who may be struggling with stress, depression, or anxiety for any number of reasons.

During our initial sessions, I will want to get to know you as a person - not a condition. I will teach you strategies to gain control of your thinking, your emotions, your behavior, your life.

I will likely give you homework assignments and we will collaborate to help you reinvent yourself.

In addition to CBT, I also employ many strategies taken from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or, “DBT.”

DBT was pioneered by Dr. Marsha Linehan (1943- ) in the 1970’s.

DBT is a perfect complement to CBT in that it combines cognitive psychology with concepts such as mindfulness, acceptance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

More about my approach to therapy

My approach to psychotherapy is very informal, warm, and collaborative.

I take from a lot of theories of psychology, but most often I try to guide patients in examining their thinking in order to change emotions and behavior.

This is known as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

I love CBT for two reasons:

1. It works!

and

2. It works right away!

You will leave your first session with "A Plan" that will make you feel in control of your life rather than a victim of circumstances.

CBT was pioneered by Dr. Aaron T. Beck (1921-2021), who, together with his daughter, Dr. Judith Beck, co-founded the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 1994.

Dr. Eidex credits her expertise in CBT to her studies of the Becks’ works as well as those of Dr. Donald Meichenbaum, Dr. Russell Barkley, Dr. Robert Brooks, and Dr. David Burns.

I offer telehealth psychotherapy to all ages and stages.

I can’t wait to meet you!

I am authorized through PSYPACT to see patients in 42 states.
